Meet the Owners
Edie Salmon and her son, Greg Salmon, are the owners and operators of Ken & Daughter Jewelers. Edie has lived in Newberg since 1977 and is married to Steve Salmon. She joined her dad at the store in 1990, often joking that she was not hired, but instead simply instructed to report to work since her dad was short-handed at the time. However, once she arrived, she found she never wanted to leave, as the love of jewelry making had been passed on to her.
Greg is a Newberg native, graduating from Newberg High School class of 2005. After his first year of college at Oregon State University he proposed to his middle school sweetheart, Jena. They were married in 2008 and now have three beautiful children. Greg entered the business with his mom, Edie, in 2010 and soon discovered his calling in life...to be part of this 33 year old family run business built by his grandfather and mother. Greg followed his grandfathers footsteps and graduated from the Gemological Institute of America where he achieved the title of Graduate Gemologist.
